Inspiration
Based on all of our skills sets, we decided to create something that played into our abilities and interests.
What it does
It allows a user to play sounds through a web server that has a Java API back-end and Java Swing visuals which show which notes are being played.
How we built it
We collaborated as a team and used the following tools, HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, Maven, SpringBoot.
Challenges we ran into
Throuughout the project, we faced many challenges. Much of the tools that we were using were brand new to us but we managed to learn them in a timely manner.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we were able to collaborate as a team and push ourselves to learn new things within 24 hours. Interfacing with Java through Web was something that none of us had never tried before but it was a great learning experience.
What we learned
A major thing we learned was connecting the Web to our Java back end through Rest-API. It's going to be really useful in the future. We also learned how to use threads for multiprocessing.
What's next for RowdyKeys
In the future, we plan on continuing development by adding more features.
