Innovation: Currently there's no app/platform that offers the best gas station recommendation based on the current location. But it is definitely worthwhile to design this tool for the driver to quickly get the answer. In our tool, instead of just consider the starting point and the destination, we also take more driver's demand into consideration: e.g., which type of fuel they want, so we can search the corresponding type of fuel's price. Whether the driver wants the cheapest choice to save money or want the fastest route in case of any emergency. We design different algorithm for these two situations. Last but not least, we also want to make sure that the driver can successfully arrive at the gas station before they running out of gas. So we ask the driver to input the remaining miles and take this value into our calculation, this strategy would make our tool more feasible as well as more comprehensive considerations.
One of the specialties for our project is that since the website can recommend the fastest route from the starting point to gas station, and gas station to its destination. It will potentially reduce the fair amount of gas emission, and bring more benefit to the environment!
