  Our STEAM sorting quiz

Inspiration

We both did not have resources to allow our interest in STEAM to thrive at a young age, and believe that if you give young women what they need to pursue their interests they will be able to better discover and cultivate their passions.

What it does

It allows young girls to be sorted into a STEAM field, connect with female mentors, find free resources that are geared toward their passions, and ask questions in a public forum.

How I built it

We used HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript (and a little help from Bootstrap) to build Rosie.

Challenges I ran into

Our biggest challenge was definitely trying to narrow down all of our ideas.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud of our amazing design and forum that pulls from a database using PHP.

What I learned

We learned that we are capable of more than we think. Even with time restraints we were able to create something we are proud of that showcases our skills.

What's next for Rosie

We would love to flush out the site and actively implement it!
