Inspiration
Being a truck driver, I was inspired to share parts of the daily grind with users who have no idea of a truckers life
What it does
In the form of an escape room, users will perform tasks a driver faces each day at the end of a shift.
How we built it
Starting with an experimental building project, we transformed it into a 1970s era truck stop, using primitive assets.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest issue we have had is memory, and getting scripts to operate properly, being a beginner has made this a challenge, but have used mostly scripts I created, however 2 scripts were from an outside source
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are extremely happy with the authenticity if the project, closely resembling a 70s to 90s truck stop
What we learned
Any challenge can be overcome through diligence and youtube, however most youtube tutorials move too fast and are not really clear as to some actions, like beginning Typescripting, where do you get a typescript editor? all in all, we had a great time building this world
What's next for Roosters Truck Stop; An Escape
We have in our notes additional elements, through quests and APIs Users can expect a more immersive experience
