Rooster

Inspiration

Getting up in the morning was a challenge we all faced and we believed this would make the process more enjoyable and incentivize people to wake up early and seize the day.

What it does

It gives you points for waking up on time, and those points can be redeemed for gift cards. It also ensures you actually wake up by making you solve a math problem before you can dismiss the alarm.

How I built it

We developed a wireframe using Figma and then coded it in Android Studio

Challenges I ran into

We lacked experience in Android Studio and as a result, had to learn a lot on the spot. Consequently, we didn't have time to include all the features we wanted.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We were very proud of our UI wireframe, and wish we got to finish coding it in Android Studio.

What I learned

We learned about how to use Android Studio and the power of wireframing. We also learned to solve our problems quickly and accurately and to fail forward.

What's next for Rooster

We will continue developing our technical skills in an attempt to bring Rooster to market.
