Inspiration- As an all freshmen team we recently experienced the stressfulness of random roommates and having conflicting lifestyles.
What it does - RoomMingle aims to solve this issue by curating and connecting you with a list of roommates who have similar lifestyles to you.
How we built it - Combining our skills in Javascript, Java, HTML, and CSS we created the barebones of the website. Afterwards we researched and implemented MongoDB and node.js into our design with assistance from Gen Ai.
Challenges we ran into - None of us were familiar with MERN full stack development and we had to learn the technical proficiency to incorporate the front with the back end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of - We're proud of how we found out and learned about these new technologies and the progress we've made with our web development.

What's next for RoomMingle: Next for RoomMingle is to use generative AI to reccomend profile additions/ additional sections, use AI to perform sentiment and comparative analysis, improve our algorithm through testing, and polish the front end platform including increased functionality for messaging.
