Done as a part of the Software Engineering Class Project. Teammates: Hayden Berry, Shiron Manandhar, Rajani Dulal, Marcus R. Armstrong.

Being a student, we need to stay off-campus and share an apartment/house with people we don’t know. Sharing an apartment/house could be a hassle if there is no coordination among the roommates and the apartment would not be a comfortable place. Hence, our application manages and records common household chores and the assigned tasks to be done by the roommates. This will make the apartment hassle-free and increase coordination among the roommates.

Our idea is simple where we make take the concept of apple calendar where we record our tasks, but we have made this calendar global where roommates can add, delete, modify tasks, and is viewable to all roommates. In addition to this, we have maintained a grouping of users and a separate profile for each roommate where they can view the common tasks and communicate through the feed page among the users in the same group.

With every change made by the user in the group, the other users in the group receive the e-mail notification about the update so that no one ever misses out on key updates that are going on in the apartment.

The additional functionality for our future work includes adding a weekly grocery shopping list and the application can prepare a budget for next week and also recommend groceries based on past purchases. Similarly, eating healthy being a college student is difficult so our application could suggest the items that a junk and purchased frequently.
