Inspiration
We were really interested in the real estate market from the beginning and all had individual experiences with house hunting that inspired us to streamline the process.
What it does
Uses AI and ML to run a prediagnostic on different systems within a house and determine whether they pass or fail home inspection.
How we built it
We built the front end using React and Tailwind and the back end primarily using Python on Intel hardware. We used CNNs, the IPEX LLM, and OpenVINO to power our AI component. To manage user data we also used Firebase.
Challenges we ran into
Using the alternative databases was rather difficult. Had trouble converting between the Intel cloud processing and using the virtual machine.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Innovative idea, coming up with requirements for a viable prototype, and a framework for implementing the technical components.
What we learned
We learned a lot about how hackathons work as it was some of our team's first hackathon. We also learned about a variety of different AI based hardware and about the variety of AI options available to us.
What's next for Roomah
Want to expand the scope of our data and lead to integration with housing platforms like Zillow and Redfin.
