Inspiration
I accidentally failed a (physio) course last term, they removed all my course for Term 2 ( since unmet pre-req). Then i have too much free time and start to explore other side quests, and coding is one of them. Have been wanted to learn 3D printing and one day my compsci frds recommended me to do a room portfolio that required myself to do 3D modelling and learn coding as well.
What it does
Well, is just showcase my room and tell everyone how my life looks like right now
How we built it
- Search for youtube tutorial for how to use blender
- Room modelling using blender
- Set up my github (and learn how to push ! )
- Learning basic linux
- Set up singleton pattern
- Adjusting lighting/ camera/ASScroll…..(all the room elements
- Learning lerping rotations
- Adding html and css
- Learn responsive design
- Design preloader and animation
- Learn to deploy
Challenges we ran into
- Not familiar with blender
- No idea what is vs code
- No idea what is a bundler
- No idea what is ls/ cd/ pwd/ npm
- No idea how to set up a code
- No idea how to use console log for debugging
- No idea how to build my css and html ……….
- Basically, i have zero background for three.js/blender (so everything is a challenge for me)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- proud of myself to finish this project by myself in a month except little help from cs student to set up my github and vs code
What we learned
All stuff are new to me and so I self-learnt all of them
What's next for Room 134
I’ll take a break from coding and doing physio stuff ;<
Built With
