I got my exam results and saw that I had D’s in all my subjects. I felt desperate and very low about my future. Then I started thinking about how many other students might feel the same way—or even worse. I realized that people going through tough times often can’t share their feelings with friends or family. I knew we needed to build something to help people like us. That’s how the idea for Rooh.AI was born.

Rooh.AI is an AI-powered digital twin that offers mental therapy and emotional support for people dealing with depression or emotional stress. Many people feel things they can’t easily share with others. Rooh.AI becomes their trusted digital companion, listening to their feelings and guiding them with personalized support based on their emotions.

I shared this idea with my friend, and he immediately liked it. We started by gathering data and doing analysis on mental health issues and emotional patterns. We then created a business plan.

After that, our frontend and backend developers used the power of Bolt.new to build Rooh.AI. We focused on creating an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) that could truly make a difference for people feeling emotionally low. We’re excited to share that we have launched our MVP on app.myroohAI.com.

As Pakistani students, we faced many challenges:

Limited resources and funding for tech startups in Pakistan.

Lack of local datasets for training emotion detection models relevant to our culture.

Managing our studies while working on a startup project.

Technical issues integrating different tools and making everything work smoothly in Bolt.new.

Internet speed and connectivity issues during development and testing.

Despite all this, we kept going because we believed in our mission.

We plan to keep improving Rooh.AI through research and A/B testing of our MVP. Our next goal is to achieve Product-Market Fit (PMF). We’re also looking for investment to help us grow and bring Pakistan’s first digital emotional twin to even more people.
