Inspiration
The idea of attempting to unify standardisation and personalisation in an automated process, sounded like an interesting challenge to meet.
What it does
Creates an automated overlay customised by client requests; simplifying the onboarding process in order to prevent the discontinuation of the customer journey with a fun and engaging design.
How we built it
We started with analysing the client needs, building an initial requirements framework. From this we began the design phase with rough sketches eventually producing formal designs via wireframes and medium-fidelity examples. Building upon the wireframes we have created, we have developed a simple prototype as our proof of concept, using Express and React to create a foundation of how the client side of the customer onboarding could look like. The languages that were used were JavaScript and HTML. With the addition of Tailwind CSS to build the front end features further. Additionally, this prototype can be scaled to customise and enhance the customer experience.
Challenges we ran into
With the given time, not all the features that we wanted were implemented to the prototype where key functionalities of the sign up and the view of the stages of onboarding were focused. Also, the database side of the prototype has not been developed where only the implementation of SQL Lite and Prisma has been attempted.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We developed a strong pitch that can be easily scaled and adjusted, based upon feedback and further client requirements gathering. The proof of concept is well-documented from which anyone could pick up, improve and deliver a comprehensive, scaled up deliverable product.
What we learned
How to best manage time constraints against lofty scoping goals, in a project management setting.
What's next for Romax - Customer Onboarding
To further implement design features to the prototype and to add the back-end database features to allow the application for storing and retrieving different themes, to allow for further expansion of personalisation in the client's journey in onboarding.
