Romanian Exchange Rates Android App

Inspiration

I wanted to create an app that helps people find the best exchange rate across multiple banks and their location on Google Maps.

How it works

You either select a currency, and you find out the rates across multiple banks for that currency, or you select a bank and find the rates for all currencies. For each bank, if you click "Locator" you can find the closest subsidiary to your current location.

Challenges I ran into

The hardest part was to parse the data from multiple sources, and to keep an updated database with the banks locations.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am very pleased with the fact that my users count is increasing on Google Play market.

What I learned

I've learned a thing or two about the financial environment, and now I'm working on giving more details about finance through my app.

What's next for Romanian Exchange Rates Android App

In the upcoming months I will work in updating the locations database for the banks and ATM's and I will probably make a redesign of the app to match it to the new Android Lollipop design guidelines.
