Inspiration

I've always wanted to rebuild my portfolio. My first version of it was done in Framer and while it worked well and even got me two job offers, I felt it needed improvement. I was learning frontend software development as well so I thought this would be the very best way to learn–a trial by fire of sorts.

What it does

This website does what you'd expect from a normal portfolio–case studies, project showcases, about page–but I added some sprinkle of personality here and there (see if you'll pick on them)

How I built it

I used Next.js and React for the build, with Tailwind CSS for the styling. I'm still torn between MDX and Payload CMS for the blogs, though.

Challenges we ran into

Learning to code while building a side project is crazy work, I won't lie. The endless sleepless cycles of debugging and trying to understand what half my AI-generated code means was the biggest challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm super proud of myself for sticking through it all; it came with its ups for sure, and I'm happy I saw it to completion–well, almost completion, at the time of writing this.
