Inspiration
When I started using monday.com, I quickly noticed there wasn't any "satisfying" way to archive completed items. Therefore, I wanted to create a simple and fun way to do this. I came up with an idea involving a playfull "rocket", which you could launch completed items off to the archive with.
What it does
Rockets let you quickly launch completed items to the archive. The app also offers a unique way of visualising completed items and you can play around with the fun physics simulator built on matter.js. When your project is completed, celebrate together with a beatiful rocket launch containing all your hard work. In the settings you can change what status the rocket should look for and the countdown timer.
How I built it
I built this app using Javascript, React, CSS, Matter.js and the monday.com API.
Challenges I ran into
It was a bit difficult getting the items hover label to work correctly, but I found a solution for it in the end. Also, working with the GraphQL API was a bit tricky to begin with, but after I understood how it was working, it was great to work with.
What I learned
I learned a lot working on this project. For instance React and Matter.js, since I hadn't really worked with those two earlier. Same goes for the monday.com API and GraphQL
