Inspiration
Driving and listening to audio lessons for my law school classes. RocketLaw allows for an active, engaging experience instead of a passive listening experience.
What it does
RocketLaw teaches principles of law through story telling and allows the user to control the story through voice inputs and decision making.
How I built it
We used MIT App Inventor, which allows for quick prototyping. The underlying code is Java but will extend to iOS platforms soon.
Challenges I ran into
Writing the story that teaches the lesson of Res Ipsa Loquitur, with all of it's off chutes, was a challenge but it was also exciting.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The is the first law game you can play while driving, as it is just like talking to a friend hands free for safety and fun.
What I learned
I learned that what is good for the full version is not good for the demo mode. You want a rich audio experience while using the app, but for a demo it needs to be short and sweet.
What's next for RocketLaw | Listen, Choose, Learn.
We plan to expand the content to include other law lessons and also expand to iOS.
