Inspiration

We were inspired by fast paced and addictive games such as Geometry Dash and Flappy Bird. We thought of astroids when we heard the theme 'set in stone' and made a space themed game.

What i.t does

The aim of the game is to survive orbiting a planet for as long as possible, which can be done by avoiding astroids that you create from used orbs, and refuelling using orange orbs. Going over blue orbs gives you a score boost.

How we built it

We used Godot with C#.

Challenges we ran into

Some of us in the team did not have experience with C#, so we had to help each other to learn.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We believe we made a fun and addictive game, and were able to learn a new language.

What's next for Rocket Roundabout

We would want to add more orbs that give some power ups, such as invincibility for a few seconds. We also want to add unpredictable events such as meteor showers or the planet changing gravity, to add more excitement.
