Name: Chronoderm
About the project:
Inspiration: Patients struggle to accurately track chronic skin conditions, and dermatologists have a hard time connecting with patients. We wanted to build a bridge between patients and physicians. We created a frictionless channel for doctors to prescribe medication, order pharmaceutical samples, and distribute manufacturer co-pay for patients in need. We wanted to build a layer of net-new value directly onto the Impicus platform.
What it does:
Chronoderm is a clinical platform with 2 interfaces depending on your needs. If you are a patient, the patient data engine ensures the patient has an accurate assessment of their skin condition and easily connects them to a physician or pharmacist depending on their needs.
If you are a physician, then the HCP engagement tool allows the physician to instantly connect with the patient with a click of a button and access resources.
How we built it
How we built it: We built this application using React, Vite, and TypeScript. The UI was built using Tailwind CSS and Lucide icons to create a futuristic clinically vibe. The application contains a role-switcher to maintain a firewall between the patient portal and HCP clinician portal. We also integrated gemini api for the diagnostic engine to determine the skin condition
challenges :
Our biggest challenge was adhering to the No sms when creating HCP engagement tools. We had to keep rethinking patient outreach, and instead of relying on text, we engineered an internal compliant push notification system. We also had to pivot our UX from a patient-first app to a true HCP-first engagement tool.
accomplishment :
We are proud of embedding the imperious business model directly into a clinical workflow. Our 1-click clinical directives allow doctors to connect with patients and pharmaceutical companies. In addition, our AI software that determines your skin condition and health is one of our proudest accomplishments due to the accuracy we achieved.
What we learned;
We learned how to align technical features with B2B business objectives. We realized the best way to drive HCP engagement was to tie pharmaceutical resources directly to patient need. We provided business engagement and clinical utility through patient data.
What next;
Moving forward, we hope to connect our simulated Impricus buttons to a live api endpoint for seamless sample fulfillment. We also want to expand our AI diagnostic model to recognize a wider spectrum of skin conditions.
Share feedback about any technology you interacted with at this hackathon. Remember to mention what tech you're reviewing (e.g. MongoDB, GitHub, Gemini, etc.).
Some technology we iterated on at this hackathon was GitHub, Gemini, and Google Studio AI. It was really interesting to see how much these programs could do for us and future possibilities on how to use it in the future.
