Inspiration
I got this idea after winning Hack UCSC 2015. I wanted to take my current humanoid robotics project to the next level.
How it works
A series of three 4-wheeled omni-wheel robots are sent GPS coordinates. They then wirelessly communicate with each other to figure out their relative position to one another as well as the best route to take to reach the destination. Once the destination is reached they collect sensory data about the environment and then return to the original position.
Challenges I ran into
Getting a proper build for these individual drones as well a getting communication to work with each other.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
What I learned
Arduino AVR Programming, using GPS modules, mapping algorithms, serial communication.
What's next for Robot Drone Army
Working on adding more sensors as well a better algorithm for movement.
