Inspiration

Human connection and emerging technology: How will new technology reshape our everyday lives?

I imagined what I would do if I were Se-ri, who embarks on a dangerous mission to retrace her mother's footsteps, yet constantly worries about her grandfather left behind.

The worldview of this story is based on "Suevas," a sci-fi novel I am currently writing.

What it does

It tells a story showing that humans will always find a way to love each other, no matter how much the world changes.

How we built it

While the visual and audio production utilizes 100% AI technology, the original story and screenplay were written entirely by me.

I wrote the synopsis and script, then used them to train a custom Gem (in Google Gemini). This Gem generated detailed image prompts based on the character descriptions and narrative in my script.

I generated over 400 key images using Google Nano Banana and Midjourney, selecting the best 150+ to build the storyboard.

Using these key images, I utilized Google Veo to generate the video clips.

I designed each character's voice and generated sound effects using ElevenLabs, while the music was composed with Suno.

For the initial assembly, I used Google Vids, and utilized CapCut for the final editing and tuning.

Challenges we ran into

I challenged myself to use tools I wasn't comfortable with and techniques I had never used before. It took significant effort and time, but I am happy with the result and proud that I confronted these challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud to have completed my first short film. Storytelling has always been my passion, and I am thrilled that new AI tools can help me overcome technical barriers to continue my creative journey.
