Inspiration

During our brainstorming sessions, we considered several important ideas. With current human rights violations and crises happening in places like Palestine, Sudan, and Congo, we wanted to develop something that could positively affect the suffering people. We soon came up with a project that would be impactful and perfect for this hackathon. This is how we came up with ROBONURSE.

What it does

Nurses play a vital role in evaluating patients by observing their physical appearance and listening to their concerns. In our innovative system, ROBONURSE captures images of the patient and analyzes the interactions between the patient and nurse to create comprehensive patient reports. These reports will be easily accessible and actionable through a dedicated website.

How we built it

We have installed a camera and microphone on RoboNurse to capture pictures of the patients and record patient conversations. Then, we send the audio to Whisper AI and the pictures to ChatGPT4 using their APIs for analysis. Finally, we upload this data to a website that we have created. Additionally, we used an Arduino to build and program a small moving robot.

Challenges we ran into

Our L-298 module had a coupe of broken switches so we worked around that using our bread board.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Using 2 apis and connecting our code to our website and robot.

What we learned

Unexpected troubleshoots can happen anytime. Communication is key to success.

What's next for Untitled

We can see RoboNurse being deployed in hospitals that lack man-power. We think it can make a significant impact due its cheap cost hence scalability.
