Inspiration
When I was first thinking about ideas, at first I had thought about a Medical Assist AI that reminded you about doctor visits, vaccinations, and other screenings and medcations as it can be very helpful for the elderly. Later I thought of making a robot that can move around rooms (not ai). After thinking a bit, I decided to make both and then got to coding!
What it does
Our robot can help with multiple things, for one it can read the labels on medications to see which medications the robot should give and it will bring it to you. The robot also can read blood pressure and other Vitals to gain insight on the health of the person and assesses risk .
How we built it
I used repl.it and Python IDE on my laptop and coded using python, I had created other projects before that have done roughly the same thing as this project, so I used inspiration from the other code pieces to complete this model.
Challenges we ran into
Indentation, I had and still have indentation issues with my code, I am trying to fix those issues, but I am having a lot of trouble! I could not integrate what was in my Python IDE to my repl.it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I was able to create a movement area that enables the robot to move around the room at the user's wish. I was able to use turtle to move.
What we learned
Indentation is REALLY important. I also learnt how to use python models to train.
What's next for RoboNurse
I want to add a watch attachment, which is how we will get the blood pressure readings; I also want to make the Robonurse completely autonomous.
