Inspiration:

We were inspired to create Burst by the numerous geometry-based games (particularly Geometry Dash). The colours used within the game were inspired by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader's blue and red lightsabers respectfully.

What it does:

The program allows players to move a blue ball - that represents the protagonist - around a pre-set map and potentially help the ball safely reach the end of the map without coming into contact with the red ball, representing the antagonist and his henchmen.

How we built it:

The game was built entirely with Scratch and Java.

Challenges we ran into:

We encountered many issues that were beyond our control (time issues due to internet outages). This prevented us from accomplishing our full idea and forced us to change the language we used to make the program. Originally, we thought of creating the game in Java, but time restraints forced use to create the game in Scratch instead.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

We are proud of everything in the game!

What we learned:

We learned how to make complex games using Scratch.

What's next for Burst:

The next steps for Burst are to add more levels, such as adding another villain or a secondary map. We also hope to add gyroscopic features which would also make the game more interesting.
