With this invention a simple, low-cost, CT (Computer Telephony) application, the RoboBlocker Service, automatically detects and traces Robo Calls. This application identifies and classifies each Robotic call, the frequency with which it is transmitted and the phone numbers to which it is transmitted. A human operator is required to check a recording of each robocall classification to decide whether it meets the criteria for illegality. The operator only needs to listen to one example of each robocall, the application recognizes all the repetitive instances of the same recorded call. This system successfully detects all RoboCalls without the involvement of telephone subscribers, with very little impact on existing PSTN operators, with very minimal human interaction and with a very high accuracy rate. The system provides Law Enforcement with actionable information about each illegal RoboCall including call logging and trace information allowing the appropriate action to be taken. Operational costs are extremely low as follows: Initial setup including development costs, hardware and software - $100,000 Monthly operational costs including one salary, Colo/hosting and carrier costs - $10,000
