Most of the phones carry the services of *69 and *68 . So why not provide the service of *55 (or what other number has no other use).
Here is how it would work. The call comes in, you pick up, the moment you realize it is a robo call you hit *55, this would send said call into auto data route center to collect the number, then if the robo call repeats your number again it would already be routed to the data base center and a message would be sent to that number stating as to how many offenses it now has on record, thus generating the monetary fine for the said state. This would generate jobs at the data base site and a sense of gratitude to those of us that are so tired of getting these robo calls. A portion of said money collected could go to the nations debt instead of increasing taxes.
