A phone app can be created to allow smartphone users to identify illegal calls.
The app would:
- Block calls from illegal numbers for all smartphone users based on defined criteria.
- Report information about all illegal calls to the FTC to aide in the enforcement of fines.
- Work with the telephone networks to block illegal numbers from contacting land-line and all mobile phone users.
- Provide a method for individuals and organizations to easily remove themselves from the block list if incorrectly added.
- Keep up with the telemarketers' ability to change phone numbers regularly.
