We wanted to create something that could make users laugh, while still giving them useful, constructive design feedback. 'Roasty' was born to turn boring critiques into hilarious, educational roasts!

How we built it

In just 24 hours, we brought Roasty to life by combining two powerful ingredients: -Adobe Express Add-On SDK to embed our tool right where you design

-AI magic that crafts real-time roasts and design tips

-We wrote clean JavaScript that grabs what’s on your canvas, zips it to our cloud service, and returns a punchy roast plus a smart tip—all in under a second. The result? A seamless, in-app experience that feels like having a snarky design coach by your side.

Challenges we ran into

Time crunch: With the clock ticking, every minute counted. We had to streamline features and focus on the core “laugh + learn” loop.

Keep it light, keep it helpful: Balancing fun roasts with genuinely useful tips meant a lot of trial and error—finding the perfect tone took several tweaks.

Instant feedback: Ensuring the AI responded quickly and reliably in the middle of a design session pushed us to optimize every call.
