Inspiration

People often have things they wish they could say anonymously — awkward stories, red flag moments, or confessions that deserve a laugh. We built SpillZone to create a safe, fun space to express those thoughts without judgment.

What it does

SpillZone is a mobile-first, real-time app where users can post anonymous confessions, get roasted by AI, chat in themed mood rooms, and play roast-based games — all designed to entertain, connect, and lighten up real emotions.

How we built it

React Native (Expo) for a smooth mobile interface Supabase for real-time database, auth, and instant updates Snaplet to safely seed masked user data in dev Built using modular custom hooks like useAuth, useConfessions, and useChat

Challenges we ran into

Real-time syncing issues on mobile devices Crash debugging after Snaplet setup Mobile deployment problems right before final submission. I deployed the webversion. please view it mobile preview in web for better experience.
