Inspiration

I wanted to combine my passion for coding and love using Spotify to see what I could do with it.

What it does

It roasts your Spotify.

How I built it

ReactJS, CSS, and HTML for the front end and back end

Challenges I ran into

Numerous bugs and difficulties with fluency of the language, since I had never worked with JavaScript or React prior to this hackathon

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud of the finished product: a fully functional website! I'm also proud of the numerous bugs I managed to debug and am eternally grateful for all those workshops that gave me the tools I needed to complete this project

What I learned

In addition to the tools and knowledge about coding languages I gained, I learned that patience is of utmost importance when coding. Make sure to not get frustrated even when your code repeatedly doesn't work, and eventually you will be successful.

What's next for roastify

Many more features are possibly coming! Data visualization with user data, song recommendations, and AI-generated playlists are just a few... and let's not forget about being roasted by your favourite artist!
