Inspiration
RoadDharma AI was inspired by my personal experience as an international driver navigating unfamiliar road systems in the UK. I realized that driving skills don’t always transfer between countries due to different rules and traffic behaviors. That gap motivated me to design a responsible AI system that supports safer adaptation for global drivers.
What it does
RoadDharma AI helps international drivers understand and adapt to local driving rules through a personalized learning platform. It compares home-country rules (e.g., India) with UK standards, presents key differences, and guides users through scenario-based learning and quizzes.
How we built it
I used Uizard to build a five-screen interactive prototype, starting from a welcome interface through to a rule comparison and a real-time quiz. I designed every screen with a focus on clarity and responsible AI. The video demo was recorded using Loom.
Challenges we ran into
Time and scope were the biggest challenges. I had to focus on just one country and one scenario. Designing an interface that is both educational and intuitive also took multiple iterations.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I’m proud that I created a working interactive prototype and video demo within a short timeframe. I also successfully implemented the idea of responsible AI in a real-world problem with clear societal impact.
What we learned
I learned how important it is to balance technical design with user understanding. I also gained a deeper appreciation for building fair, transparent systems that support diverse user backgrounds.
What's next for RoadDharma AI
I plan to expand the prototype to include more countries and driving scenarios. The long-term vision is to build a real-time adaptive driving assistant that uses behavioral and physiological feedback offering dynamic coaching and ensuring safe navigation for all drivers across borders.
