Road safety analysis

  Creating a portal for truck drivers to ensure their road safety while travelling long distances.

Seeing the number of road accidents on newspapers every other day brought us to think of about it as a very crucial issue in our society. It would benefit the large masses if there could be a good solution to such an issue. We are integrating 3 aspects of road safety, which is driver's health condition(drowsiness or drunkenness), road accidents analysis, and creating pit stops for drivers after a certain distance. If the user would like to know how safe it is to hit the road at a particular instance we would give an input too. We created ML models for the driver drowsiness and accident analysis and linked it to the driver and truck details which showed how much distance each one has travelled. This was deployed onto a website. It was hard for us to figure out how to integrate them all with different datasets. We were able to figure out how to measure the road accident severity using different parameters. We learned how to use the IBM platform to create instances and also enhanced our skills. The next step would be to make it into a full fledged application and deploy it to the public.
