Three-way interactions between Virtual Reality player, twitch stream audiences, and other players using PC or mobile.

What it does

In short, Mixed Reality Multiplayer Asymmetric Gameplay with Twitch live-streaming integration. Twitch audiences can put in their sandwich order, while enemy players control the mice to steal the food ingredients and prevent VR player to fulfill the order in time.

How we built it

Using Unity, this game is build mainly for HTC Vive, but during production, it was also tested using Oculus Rift and Microsoft Mixed Reality

Challenges we ran into

  • due to slow internet connection at the hackathon site, we decided to multiplayer through LAN connection only. However, the matchmaking backend is configured for non-LAN for future use.

  • Stable backend multiplayer system established early on

  • networking individual objects is hard
