Inspiration

Whilst having nights in at Uni we often play unusual and fun videos on the chromecast. We wanted an easy way of discovering new interesting videos withough scrolling miles through reddit.

What it does

Users can submit media links from common websites (just youtube at the moment). Users can discover new videos in the app and vote wether they like or dislike it.

How we built it

Zachary - worked on: webpage, database, and api. Adam - worked on Mobile application.

Challenges we ran into

Not many Current issue is with pulling video thumbnails from the internet on the app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

App UI looks quite nice

What's next for RNDTube

  • Stream direct to chromecast
  • add links from other sites
