Inspiration

My inspiration for this project is the stereotype that Computer Science majors can't get girlfriends on Tik tok.

What it does

I made this app in order to help Computer Science majors find girlfriends through the tutorials, and the pickup line generator powered by the Open-AI API, whilst also bringing awareness to common dating scams.

How we built it

I used React, Typscript, Material-UI, next-js, Open-AI API, TailWindCSS, cors, express, dotenv

Challenges we ran into

This is my first time practicing implementing a backend system from scratch through routing. At first, I did not know that the server and the client side GUI needed separate servers. After consultation with peer mentors and an awful lot of reading on StackOverflow, I figured out how to pull requests from the ChatGPT api and call them from the front end

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building the backend from scratch and learning how to properly build a backend server.

What we learned

Problem solving with git errors, development backend servers, and implementing web-API's

What's next for Rizz App

Probably going to shift this into a gators exclusive dating app.
