The Riverside Medical Institution Patient Portal was created to provide an efficient and secure way for healthcare staff to access and manage patient data. We learned a lot about user experience design and successfully implemented those factors using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and local storage. In this project, we developed a calendar feature for scheduling appointments which displays all the patients' appointments as well as a search system to find a specific patient to either edit or delete their appointment. The main challenges we faced were ensuring data security and data management, maintaining a smooth user interface, and ensuring that the data was updated and stored accurately in local storage. Despite these challenges, the project provided key insights into web development, patient management, and how technology can improve healthcare workflows inside poorly maintained villages.
