About the Project

Inspiration

Our journey began with a clear vision: to empower small business owners who juggle countless responsibilities daily. We observed their struggle with navigating the complex world of insurance, which inspired us to create a solution that could bring genuine value to their lives.

Learning Curve

Throughout the development process, our team gained profound insights into the unique insurance needs of small businesses. We delved into understanding the nuances of insurance policies and the importance of having tailored coverage that aligns with business-specific risks. Learning to translate these complex insurance concepts into an easy-to-understand format was both challenging and rewarding.

Building the Project

We engineered our platform with the user in mind, integrating a sleek, intuitive interface with the powerful backend support of AI technology. By leveraging cutting-edge machine learning algorithms, we were able to develop a system that not only learns from user interactions but also offers personalized insurance recommendations.

Frontend: React for building a dynamic and responsive user interface.
Backend: Python and Flask for server-side logic and API development.
AI & Machine Learning: LangChain for natural language processing, Google Cloud, and Vertex AI for scalable, robust machine learning operations.

Challenges

Our journey was not without its hurdles. A primary challenge was training the AI model—a cornerstone of our solution. We needed to ensure it was not only robust enough to handle complex insurance data but also adept at evolving with every interaction to provide increasingly personalized recommendations. This required meticulous programming, extensive data collection, and continuous refinement to achieve the desired accuracy and reliability.

Equally challenging was the integration of our powerful backend with the user-friendly front end. Establishing a seamless connection between the complex algorithms that drive our recommendations and the intuitive interface that our users interact with was critical. It demanded a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development, along with strong coordination within our team to ensure the platform's responsiveness and efficiency.

By embracing these challenges, we fortified our resolve and honed our technical skills. I like taking ideas from my head and putting it on a screen.
I worked on designing the UI and UX for the app using Figma and coded the front-end on React. It was a really fun challenge to create a easily accesible and simple design for all small businesses.

I worked on both backend and frontend. I worked with the Twilio API to create a text bot. In Frontend, I worked creating the quiz page and score page. Animated all pages within our project.

I worked on the LLM model AI recommendations using Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform. It was my first time working with this cloud service and an LLM, but it was a fun learning experience!
