When one begins to learn how to code, it can be quite confusing and difficult. Many times in the past I felt like giving up because a task was out of my abilities. However, I was determined to learn how to program and to become an engineer. Many people however give up, or have a bad first experience to the field.

For many people, their first experience is a hackathon or a workshop or a class and even at a beginner level they might feel overwhelmed by the field. As a result, I created a simple tool to help many adapt and learn how to program at their own pace.

This project is a google extension that provides users with an inspirational quote, statistics, and multiple sources where they can learn how to code. The sources include websites made to teach basics in programming, youtube channels, and more.

Essentially I created a huge list of inspirational quotes I found online and used a random number generator to pick and display one of the messages. Additionally I added some statistics that might get people interested in the STEM field. Finally, I created a set of buttons that act as hyperlinks that lead the user to a page that help beginner programers to learn how to code and open their horizons.

Some of the challenges I came across is my own ability as I have not done JavaScript or HTML in a long time so it was difficult to get back into the speed of things.

Next for Rise Up Hackers! is the usage of React js to implement better visuals.
