Riley Becomes a COVID-19 Hero

Inspiration

Our inspiration was to educate young children on ways that they can slow the spread of COVID-19. We want to empower children and help them feel safe during this uncertain time.

What it does

This book helps children learn about ways that they can be active in slowing the spread of COVID-19

How I built it

We built the book through collaboration and imagination to include pertinent facts about COVID-19 that are practical for ages 6-9 years old.

Challenges I ran into

The largest challenge that we ran into was trying to make sure that children finished the book feeling empowered.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are very proud of the end product

What I learned

Through this project we learned about effective ways to communicate COVID-19 disease facts to children.

What's next for Riley Becomes a COVID-19 Hero

We are hoping that this book will be selected for publication!
