Inspiration

I was watching a touch designer hand tracking tutorial and thought it'd be so cool if i could genuinely use these real time hand gestures & interactions to make something I'll actually post (spoiler i did and it got views) and something that'll actually feel more fun to create. (the demo video is fully made using Rii-Flow ✨)

What it does

Rii-flow let's you make videos without editing, in real-time . You bring in media that you want to show in the video, assign it gestures animations, sounds and effects and see how it'll look in the video while your recording it. It also let's users play around with widgets & interaction that can allow you to make cooler videos that you could never before. (at least not without massive effort)

How I built it

It was fully built with codex, 5.6 sol, handled the tech and coding part and I was doing product direction and hands on testing and it uses MediaPipe for real time hand tracking and gesture recognition. as someone who's new to tech and coding I'd never before codex would have imagined to even pursue creating this, now my mind is filled with imagination of what else could be possible.

Challenges we ran into

Trying to make a product that actually can create a useable output. It's one thing to have a big idea, it's another to see that idea through till the end and somewhere along that way you end up with a product that does too much at the same time.

And happen it did, i let the people around me try it and realized, only i was able to use it. I nuked the entire project on the last second day and rebuilt the entire thing, this time simpler, although the simplest is yet to be achieved.
