Inspiration

The miscommunication between prescribers and pharmacists due to prevalent medication errors.

What it does

Using right script, a prescriber can generate a perfectly complete prescription in as little as 15 seconds. Once a medication is selected, RightScript populates the on and off label indications for that specific drug. This now removes the blindfold that Pharmacist’s consistently experience when assessing treatment regimens for usually an unknown condition. RightScript also assesses appropriateness of the dosage regimen. What if this was methotrexate that was accidentally dosed once daily instead of weekly? RightScript immediately recognizes this as a lethal dose and suggests an alternative regimen that can be selected and automatically fixed. RightScript just avoided a deadly error. Our system will advance everyday using machine learning and AI to provide suggestions catered to the prescriber.

Some challenges we ran into were the integration aspect of RightScript and how it could be embedded in EMR that are currently being used today.
