RightsBridge draws inspiration from the stark realities facing Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Nigeria, where inaccessible infrastructure and weak enforcement of laws like the UN CRPD 2006 and Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act 2018 leave rights overlooked. Voice of Dignity-Love for All, through UNILAG-AFRETEC Team 2, channels this urgency into a platform amplifying dignity and inclusion. It's fueled by a passion to transform policy gaps into bridges of opportunity using innovative frameworks.

What It Does

RightsBridge creates versatile online platforms linking PWDs to policy tools, customizable advocacy content, and networking hubs for awareness, safe reporting spaces, and mentorship. Powered by the Equilibrium Perspectives and Equilibrium Perspectives Paradox Framework, it aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4, 9, 10, 16 and 17) to tackle policy, communication, and support gaps. Users across advocacy and rights awareness spectrums identify issues and share actionable solutions, fostering self-reliant communities.

How We Built It

We architected RightsBridge on no-coding tools for rapid deployment, emphasizing community input, collaboration, and iterative feedback loops. Leveraging Equilibrium Perspectives for balanced development, the platform integrates user-driven features like reporting dashboards and mentorship matching. This low-barrier approach ensures accessibility, drawing from UNILAG-AFRETEC's tech-inclusion expertise.

Challenges We Faced

Navigating Nigeria's enforcement gaps in disability laws tested our resolve, as did building no-code platforms amid limited resources. Balancing the Paradox Framework's complexity with user-friendly design required creative pivots. Viral monetization on open platforms like TikTok amid verification hurdles on others added layers of innovation.

Accomplishments We're Proud of

We participated in the April 2026 Assistive Technology in Higher Education Conference, equipped mentees with content creation skills, and sparked stakeholder dialogues at UNILAG. Official milestones include technical proficiency gains and expanded influence through research sharing. RightsBridge now stands ready as a beacon for inclusion, mirroring booming markets like disability devices at $18.4 billion in 2026.

Key Lessons Learned

We mastered blending advocacy with viral strategies on Facebook and LinkedIn and working towards TikTok and YouTube for broader reach. The Equilibrium Frameworks taught us to model SDG entanglements for sustainable impact. Prioritizing no-code collaboration revealed the power of community in overcoming policy inertia.

Future Roadmap

Next, IGLE Training Network (IGLETN) will manage RightsBridge and launch across five universities and partner with public and private organizations. IGLETN will promote activities such as stakeholder mapping and advocacy, community engagement, training, and ignite social media drives and strategic partnerships for viral growth. Metrics will track engagement and policy wins, scaling to Nigeria's rising compliance demands in a $4.92 billion accessibility market. RightsBridge will evolve into a global self-sustaining ecosystem for PWD empowerment.
