I was inspired by my interest in Dota 2 and competitive games. I wanted to create something that would capture the most important part of a mid-lane matchup: skill, decision-making, and timing. This idea led me to develop a 1v1 mid-lane game for a hackathon.

The main concept is simple: two players compete against each other in a mid-lane duel, where their decisions and mechanical skills determine the winner. I wanted the game to be fast-paced and competitive while still being easy to understand.

I built the project myself and learned how to combine game mechanics, user interaction, and programming into one working product. One of the biggest challenges was making the gameplay feel balanced and responsive. I also had to fix bugs, test different mechanics, and change parts of my original idea when they did not work as expected.

This project taught me how to develop under time pressure, solve problems independently, and turn an idea into a playable product. It also showed me that creating a game is not only about programming — it requires constant testing, balancing, and thinking about how the player will experience it.
