In a world where ride-sharing is a daily necessity, safety — especially for women — often takes a back seat. We set out to change that. RideSafe was born out of a shared frustration with unsafe, unreliable, and impersonal ride-sharing experiences. As a team of three students passionate about technology and design, we decided to build more than just another booking platform — we wanted to create a solution that feels secure, reacts fast, and looks real. Built entirely using Bolt.new, RideSafe combines responsive frontend design with a robust backend, delivering a fully functional web application that simulates real-time booking and puts safety at the center of every ride. We didn’t stop at just mapping routes or listing drivers. We focused on features that actually matter when someone is vulnerable or in a rush: SOS alerts that activate GPS and the camera silently Voice-activated emergencies using secret phrases Verified driver filters by gender and Safe Driver Score OTP validation for both pickup and drop And even an "Imposter Detected" easter egg for wrong OTPs. The UI is clean, modern, and production-ready — with dark/light themes, transitions, and real interactions that respond instantly. Nothing is static or fake — every button and flow is built to simulate how a real product should behave.
RideSafe is our way of showing how thoughtful design, real functionality, and empathy can work together to create a product that doesn't just move people — it protects them.
