RidePool: Rideshare made easy, for all methods of transportation and destinations

What is it?

RidePool is a webapp designed to help connect individuals who have various transportation needs.

How do you use it?

You can find available rides based on your destination, time of departure, desired time of arrival, method of transportation, and other varying factors.

You can also create a pool if you plan to provide or arrange transporation, and set varying parameters such as the amount of people allowed, the estimated cost per person, including the conditions above.

Why?

It's currently hard for UCSC students to connect at all grade levels to share transporation needs. This app will help connect all people with specific needs. For example, sharing an Uber to the airport at a specific time is currently hard, as finding people to share a ride with is near-impossible unless you post to a platform such as Reddit or Snapchat. However, an individual can create a pool, and others can request to join if the trip's specifications are good for the user.
