Ride Green - A website that allows you to lead a happy and healthy life by implementing a bike sharing system at a city level.
In our day to day lives, we face a huge environmental problem i.e. pollution. The degrading air quality and the ever increasing noise pollution and traffic in metropolitan cities has lead to many health problems. So our website: RideGreen helps in solving the following prblems faced by us:
- Air Pollution
- Traffic
- Noise Pollution
- Resource Depletion
Through this website, a user of any age can sign up for a bike sharing system by providing some basic details like email id, phone number, aadhar card etc. The aadhar card is for security purpose. A user can then obtain an RFID card from the nearest green center by physically veriying the aadhar card and depositing a refundable security of INR 700 out of which 500 will be added as balance in their Green Wallet and INR 200 is refundable security.
The user can look up nearest Green Station, view/recharge their balance, view their profile and history. At our Green station, when a user logs in at the kiosk machine, the user can use his/her RIFD card to unlock a bicycle(using sensor mechanism) and then take the bike for a ride. The user has to return the bike at any station and a predefined fare will be charged to the user on per hour basis.
This website helps in making a city smarter by promoting transport oriented development and reducing fuel emission from a city. It helps transport by reducing congestion and pollution, helps people in staying healthy and makes our life hassle-free.
