Well, I have 2 ideas here. The first looks at how robocalls work. Essentially, from what I understand, they use a computer which scans through a call list, dials a number, and upon hearing a frequency other then the ringtone frequency, initiates playback of a recorded message. Why not allow a user to choose an option that would delay a call and play a couple of random tones. If a message starts playing, terminate the call before the phone even rings. A variation on this would be random frequencies for ring tones. Although the phone would initially ring, the message would be triggered early, and who is going to pay to have half a message delivered?
A second Idea would be to allow a user to require a an additional pin # to connect a call. For example, my phone # is 973-XXX-XXXX, so if you were to dial that, and I had a "Require Pin Number" option set you would have to enter 3 additional numbers to connect the call.
I have no idea how much any of this would cost, I do not work for the phone company. However since its all digital nowadays, and both hardware and software are decently inexpensive, I cant imagine this would be all that difficult.
But to be honest, I just have to add, you all realize your the US Gov right? Pass a bill that says unsolicitated robo calls are considered harassment and if one is received an individual is entitled to compensation.
Thats the best I have at the moment. I believe the trick to figuring this out is to look at the robocall process and figure out where the flaws are. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I have no idea why you would require a file and a photo. Here is a picture of a phoenix and an AutoIt script. Neither have anything to do with this.
