Who doesn’t like free food? However, most times it is very difficult to know where the free food events are. We were inspired to make this application by our own experience searching(unsuccessfully) for free food around the campus. Using Google Maps API, we created a web application where people can search for free food around them and share free food events with others. We believe this app can be beneficial in many ways; it will reduce food waste, increase attendance at free food events, and feed hungry students!

Quick Tutorial Homepage shows a Google Map with markers. These represent free food events around the user. Clicking on a marker leads to an info box displaying more info about the event and food there.

To share a new free food event - go to drag and drop the marker on Google Map to specify your precise location.
