[link](https://forms.gle/Gnq7FG7LrUQx8XpW8} The research process for our app aimed to gain insights into the preferences and expectations of undergraduate students regarding tutoring, both from the perspective of those seeking assistance and those offering their services. To initiate this exploration, we developed a comprehensive Google Form survey, strategically divided into three sections tailored for respondents based on their tutoring experiences.
The first section targeted individuals who had sought tutoring assistance in the past. Through questions focusing on their selection criteria, we sought to understand the key factors influencing their decision-making process when choosing a tutor. A prominent finding emerged—respondents consistently prioritized considerations such as price, expertise, and availability. This insight proved instrumental in shaping our app's design, emphasizing the importance of showcasing these essential details prominently for users.
In the second section, we directed our questions towards individuals who had experience serving as tutors. One key inquiry delved into their perception of a typical tutoring session. Notably, a recurring theme emerged—many tutors highlighted the significance of planning and goal-setting within their sessions. Armed with this information, we envisioned an innovative feature for our app—a progress page where students could collaboratively set goals with their tutors, fostering a structured and purposeful learning environment.
The final section targeted respondents who had never experienced tutoring before. By addressing their perspectives, we aimed to understand potential barriers or uncertainties surrounding the tutoring process. This segment of our research played a crucial role in refining our user interface and user experience to be intuitive, welcoming, and informative for individuals who might be exploring tutoring for the first time.

One crucial discovery was the consistent emphasis placed by respondents who sought tutoring on factors such as price, expertise, and availability when choosing a tutor. This insight underscored the importance of transparently presenting these details within our app. As a result, we prioritized creating a user interface that prominently showcases pertinent information about each tutor, allowing users to make informed decisions based on their unique criteria.
