Inspiration
I wanted to mix rhythm gameplay with competitive racing, where music timing directly affects who wins the race.
What it does
Rhythm Racers is a rhythm-based racing game where players hit notes in time with the music to build combos and outrun an AI opponent.
How we built it
The game was built in Unity using C# scripts, with JetBrains Rider as the IDE for scripting and debugging the gameplay systems.
Challenges we ran into
Balancing scoring, combos, and AI behavior while keeping the gameplay fun and responsive was the biggest challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating a complete, playable rhythm racing experience with clear feedback, combos, and a competitive race flow.
