Inspiration
Since the theme of UGA Hacks X was music we thought a rhythm game would be appropriate
What it does
It is a rhythm game built for entertainment, using royalty-free music
How we built it
We used Unity and GitHub for file collaboration
Challenges we ran into
The biggest issue we ran into was synchronizing the music to the notes. Another challenge was implementing API calls in Unity to generate random backgrounds. There were other small bugs we had to fix along the way and we had minimal issues with GitHub.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were very proud of being able to sync the music to the song and we were also proud to have been able to write a script that helped us map the song after we had synced the notes
What we learned
We learned a lot about Unity, especially how Unity handles time and the chronology of updates.
What's next for Rhythm Byte
We may expand on the game and add more levels or more types of rhythm game elements.
