Inspiration

I like poems a lot and when i was a kid i there was this app in which i used to write poems but i don't know why it became unavialable ,i really waited and thought of what to make for almost 20 days to look for the perfect idea which i enjoy the most only then i started to build.

What it does

what my we application does is allows users to participate in themed poetry battles where they can submit haikus based on daily rotating dualities like "Fire: Friend or Foe" or "Time: Past or Future," choosing sides such as Friend, Foe, or Neutral. Users can vote on poems, earning points that update a dynamic leaderboard reflecting overall scores, monthly performance, and recent battle wins, with rankings based on poem count, likes, and victories. The Social Hub enhances community engagement by enabling friend connections with smart recommendations, profile searches, and activity tracking, while features like a custom avatar creator, battle replay mode, and an inspiration tool add personalized flair. Built with an intuitive development platform and seamlessly deployed on Netlify, RhymeRumble fosters a vibrant space for poetic expression and competition.

How I built it

well the development was all purely and solely done in bolt.new which is like a genie with many wishes i seriously didn,t believe an ai could this much retaining and remembering all the points discussed and making changes without breaking other things

Challenges I ran into

For me each step was a challenge because i hadn't built any fully functioning web app once i created web app to deploy i didn't know it automatically deploy's on netlify i intervened and deployed the project so it didn't generate any set up domain button i was confused a lot the discord community has been a great help finally when once again clicked deploy button it automatically deployed it creating a new project and allowed me to buy a domain from after that i was once again confused to which version updates are being made glad bolt discussion was there to clarify i don't know whether to give the link of private project which i initially started or i should give the public one,i have applied for domain but still havent recieved the domain but i hope it is accessible before judging period starts.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

Fully setting up a web app in my own domain name as a kid i used to wonder how the websites work .By this i get to know how the whole production of it happens .And how easy it has become with the use of bolt to do so.I

What i learned

I didn't much realise why devops and setting up pipelines were important in a college course i recently took although most of it was done by bolt now i do understand the concept and workings of them.

What's next for RhymeRumble

I would like to make it a applictaion that would connect many poetic -minds together and make a mobile application with more features with it
